Small news. Deceptively so. This is one of the most alarming things to happen recently because of the food crisis, the economy, and what it tells us about climate change. One the surface, it's no big deal, but if you dig deeper and really look at this, it's quite scary.

      "happen recently"

This has been a long time coming. First, we disrupt their spawning habitat. Then we over fish. We've known about this for a while. Maybe we'll finally do something about it. And by we I mean the world.

Has nothing to do with "climate change." The main culprits identified are a multitude of dams built for hydroelectic power (damn, shouldn't that reduce CO2 emissions? -- pun intended) and the usual overfishing. When you build dams, they cut off salmon from their spawning grounds. Funny how "climate change" always is the first thing liberals spout whenever something happens without considering real causes.

To express concern does not equate to panic.

To express disinterest does not equate to calm.

Those who argue against global warming being man-made, often say that the world is too big, and humanity's effect too small, to change the weather.

The salmon decline is an example of our ability to change the world.

We are not panicking about it.

We are soberly discussing the problem.

'Panicking' would be shrieking we are going to die, or

else childishly insisting that nothing is wrong at all.

Yep! And they love to blame everything on "climate change" of the President.

            Locky,

You should learn about the precipitous collapse of the Atlantic Cod industry. If you do so, you will not be so unconcerned about what appears to be a similar collapse of the Salmon fisheries.

Locky just likes to attack people based on his political bias. Don't mistake it for actually understanding any science.
