A fifth of the US corn crop is now used to brew ethanol for motor fuel, and as farmers have planted more corn, they have cut acreage of other crops, particularly soybeans. End result cooking oil shortage and wheat shortages.

    There is no reason to be using corn for ethanol...HEMP produces 20 times more cellulose than corn and can be used for fuel and food.

    Call your congressman and demand that he support the Industrial Hemp Farming Act HR 1009 now stuck in committee because of cowardly leaders.

      We could import sugar cane ethanol from Brazil if the US Govt. would take the huge tax off of it.

        Corn Ethanol is just a boondogle produced by agribusiness and the Corn-state Senator/Representatives.

        I does nothing but increase profits for a few and generate lots of campaign dollars for the incumbants.
