Twenty or thirty years ago we were the top hogs. Looks like it's back to "Potatoes and Point", like in the nineteen twenties and and thirtys.

It used to be the Irish depended on potatoes. This will only work until the powers that be decide to start paying people to make potatoes into alcohol for fuel as they have done for grain crops so the price for food will take another giant leap
without reducing petroleum use but the distilling companies and the GIANT farmer corporations will make millions more.
